Peer Review Process
The practice of single-blind peer review is to ensure that good papers are published. It is an objective process at the heart of good scholarly publishing and is carried out on all reputable scientific journals. Our referees, therefore, play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the Journal of Transport System Engineering (JTSE).
Special issues and/or conference proceedings may have different peer review procedures involving, for example, Guest Editors, conference organisers or scientific committees. Authors contributing to these projects may receive full details of the peer review process on request from the editorial office.
Publication Frequency
The Journal of Transport System Engineering is published online with a frequency of Two (2) issues per year (June and December). Besides that, special issues of Journal of Transport System Engineering will be published non-periodically from time to time.
Open Access Policy
The Journal of Transport System Engineering (JTSE) is only published online by providing immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Sponsor
The Journal of Transport System Engineering (JTSE) is published by Penerbit UTM Press, the official publishing arm of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
Penerbit UTM Press functions as a university-owned academic publisher with a dual model:
-
Non-profit scholarly publishing – managing academic journals, including JTSE, with financial and institutional support from UTM to ensure quality and integrity. Article Processing Charges (APCs), where applied, are solely used to recover operational costs (peer review management, production, DOI assignment, digital hosting, and archiving). All revenues are reinvested into sustaining the journal and supporting the dissemination of scholarly research.
-
Commercial publishing – producing and selling academic books, conference proceedings, and monographs, which generate revenue to sustain its publishing operations.
This hybrid model allows Penerbit UTM Press to uphold the highest standards of academic dissemination while maintaining long-term sustainability.
